YONATAN KARMON – A SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE EDITION

Rokdim-Nirkoda Magazine #103, which was recently released in digital format, is now available in print.

The issue is dedicated to Yonatan Karmon z”l, the legendary dancer, choreographer and stage producer who changed the image of Israeli folk dance and whose influence profoundly affected the lives of many thousands throughout the world. In addition to his iconic stage productions and the Karmiel Dance Festival, some of Karmon’s dances that were adapted by Danny Uziel from the stage became most popular in Israeli folk dance sessions worldwide. They include Haro’a Haktana, Al Tira and Nad Ilan in circles and in partners, Yamin U’Smol (Orcha Bamidbar), Israeli Mazurka, Shibolet Bassadeh, Elem VeSusato, Gozi Li, Shiru Hashir, Mi Emek LeGiva and Mi Yivneh Bayit. 

Yonatan Karmon and his creations are a National Treasure. It is important for every dancer and dance enthusiast to get to know and treasure the man and his works.

This issue is available in print in both English and Hebrew versions and contains 60 pages (with no advertising) in each language. The cost of each copy of the magazine is $19 which includes postage. This is truly a publication that deserves a special place on our book shelves at home, in educational institutions and in libraries.
